Welcome! I am Rev. Royal D. Bush (Chaplain Royal!), I love sharing the gift of caring for others. I was brought up that way, it is the example my mom taught me. Caring for neighbors, friends, family, and those who need help. We help others, visit others, and feed others without asking if they are worthy. We do it because they need our help.
Kahu is a word that I love, and it is used in Hawaiian culture to mean guardian, pastor, caretaker, attendant, and guide. In 2008 I became a credentialed and ordained community chaplain. Since then I have served my community in many ways... prison visits, outreach to the homeless LGBTBQ youth, TDoR events, PRIDE events, and helping families when they are connected to a church or a faith to ensure they had someone to officiate their life rituals (weddings, funerals, Baptisms, and Blessings.)
I know call Denver home. I facilitate premarital coaching and officiate weddings, funerals, and other life celebrations. I volunteer and share messages at the Metropolitan Community Church of the Rockies (Capital Hill) 1-2 times a month.

Locations
I primarily service the metro Denver area. With advance notice, I am able to travel to almost any location. I will soon offer coaching services online.
Weddings
As a professional wedding officiant, having officiated over 1,200 ceremonies, I specialize in creating custom ceremonies for each couple. Your ceremony will be as traditional as you choose. We can always include rituals, words, and options that truly help me tell your story of love with your family, friends, and guests. Specific wedding packages are listed below.
Funerals
As an ordained and credentialed minister, my seminary studies, life experiences, and service in the last 14 years as allowed me to share a gift of celebrating the life of loved ones, regardless if it is faith based or not. Funerals. Memorials. Grave Side Service Only. Life Celebrations are all rituals I will help you and your family prepare for.
Coaching
One-on-one coaching and couples coaching. I offer non-faith-based premarital coaching based which includes 5, one hour sessions. They include resources such as the languages of love, the Symbis Assessment, and the non-faith-based successful program I have used for 12 years. This option is for those who hire me as a wedding officiant, or who just want premarital coaching. Bring your cup, and prepared to have it filled. How big of a cup will you bring?
Pulpit Fills and Invocations
I am available to share messages if your leader is not available. Honorariums are appreciated, regardless of the amount. I would ask we connect prior, to ensure I am a proper fit for the beliefs of your group, church, or organization. I am open, affirming, and celebrate all world religions.

ELOPEMENT (MICRO CEREMONY)
A scripted ceremony with a vow and ring exchange, no rehearsal.

COUPLES COACHING
You can choose to add this package to Elopement or Story of Love Packages, or you can select it as an option regardless if I am your officiant or not! Includes 5 online sessions (about an hour each) of premarital coaching, the Symbis Assessment, and 5 Love Languages.

Travel & Parking
My safety, your safety, and the safety of guests is important. During inclement weather, we will communicate the ability to travel based on various weather reports, state road conditions, and local officials. Parking near the site is required, I do use a handicap card. I am available to travel beyond Denver metro. I will coordinate travel costs to be approved prior to. For distances that require overnight stay, costs will include travel, lodging, and one meal each day.
